Stop Food Waste Day at Out of the Blue

There is Jellycat Happy Egg, Coffee Bean, Vivacious Tomato and Bean (Baked).

He starts talking to them about Food Waste Day and how each of them wouldn't be wasted.

Happy Egg and the Tomatoes are making an omlette together to avoid waste.

Next Bun Bun speaks to Jellycat Coffee Bean and Bean about how they can be used instead of going to waste.

Coffee Bean says that his granules sometimes go out in the garden to help the plants grow after his been used for a cup of coffee.

Bean (baked) says that he is a multi-tasking bean and can be used in pies, stir fry's and to thicken soups so no wastage there.

Bun Bun then moves on to Vivacious Pumpkin who has very strong views on the issues on just being seen a Halloween Lantern.

Pumpkin said that in fact he can also be used in a Pumpkin Pie, soup, roasted or stuffed.  There is so much you can do with a pumpkin that it is truly a waste not to use it in full.

After Pumpkin there is Vivacious Broccoli

Bun Bun normally eats Broccoli raw however Broccoli can also be used in a Quiche, Frattata and the stork can be blended in soup adding lots of great nutirents and flavour.

Last but not least Bun Bun meets jellycat Potato

    Jellycat Potato

Everyone knows that Potato can be used in lots of ways even if he has started sprouting you can just rub them off and still use him.

With his skin you can roast to make crisps, use him cold once cooked as a potato salad or use any left over fried as part of a bubble and squeak.

Bun Bun and all his food friends agree that they don't like to be wasted as it has taken them a lot of energy to grow so why don't you try to find new ways to use your spare foods and stop food wastage.
